imcompetent HA

Can anyone help?
I rent a 3 bed maisonette off the local HA. All the houses etc in my street are having new kitchens this year.Well all except me. The HA have never been able to get my address right(being their property and all that) So I've been missed off the list and told I am unable to have a new kitchen(mine is over 30 yrs old)until next year and maybe then I wont get one due to lack of money. I've been sent a letter from them today about claiming compensation and it states on there kitchens should be replaced every 10 years. My windows are in a state(well the whole block has issues with windows)

Where else can I take this complaint as its their mistake. Is there an onbudsman or similar?
TIA
New to this site so please my excuse dumbness.
I have my sealed pot and I WILL save some money this year.Aiming for £400

  • Take your complaint to where it needs to be made: the HA. IN WRITING. If no response, write again. To the Chief Executive if necessary.
  • Your HA will have a published complaints procedure. This can be found in your tenancy pack, their website or from their public offices. It will detail the procedure and steps to be followed. Obtain a copy and follow it. If you exhaust the complaints procedure then there is an ombudsman service also available, but that will only be open to you once the complaints procedure has been fully exhausted.

yes, the housing ombudsman will not deal with your complaint until the HA's internal complaint procedure has been exhausted. They should be able to give you a copy to tell you what the steps are.
