Helppp yorkshire bank + hsbc

Hi

Can anyone help. I am trying to reclaim ppi from the yorkshire bank and HSBC who I have had loans with in the past, I am going through a company to do this, but they are now saying they have had information from both banks that they have no record of the loan accounts, I dont bank with them anymore but the yorkshire bank acc is not a closed acc. I had banked with them for 20yrs + and I had provided my Yorkshire bank acc no (not the loan 1) and the finishing dates of the loans. How can the yorkshire say they have no record.
The HSBC would not give me my acc no. although I had been with them 20yrs+ as well
What can I do as it is so frustrating and I have paid these loans + ppi. where can I get the information from as I thought the company I am going through would have been successful with this

Please help

    Hi there

What about a Subject access Request (SAR) with this request they are supposed to comply and provide data going back at least the last 6 years, some will provide data even prior to that, you have to enclose £10 cheque or postal order and they have 40 calendar days to comply.

    Full SAR template letter below.

I note you said you are using a claims company, I would have thought these would have requested data through a SAR, do you know if they have tried this?

If you are using a claims company, have a careful look at the paperwork and see whether there's any cost for the work they've done so far.

Since you seem to be the one actually doing all the work, it makes sense to make the complaint by yourself - and keep the proceeds.

If you can walk away without paying a bill, I'd suggest that as your first step.
