Carpet Cleaning Liquid

I have borrowed a friend's VAX carpet washing machine to freshen up some carpets. (no surprise there really)

The lady who leant it to me, suggested I buy 1001 3 in 1 cleaning solution and use that, as per instructions.

I have tried this, but to be perfectly honest I can't really see too much of a difference.

Which liquid produces the best results please ?

thankyou

I use Vax, it's worth paying the extra couple of quid.
If it's a nylon berber you can - shock horror- add a tablespoon of bleach to the mix.

  • This is going to sound insane lol.

I have a good quality Vax carpet washer and I do use one tank of shampoo but i find it a bit expensive to use freescale so erm.., I dampen the carpet with a bucket of water and a cloth, then rub the carpet with vanish soap.., then using the carpet shampooer on rinse, rinse it up.

While this does defeat the idea of having a carpet shampooer a little bit lol.., it really helps with stubborn stains and speeds cleaning them no end! The shampoo disappears really quickly.

I also rinse the carpet a lot when using the shampoo to make it stretch further.
