Work and Pension Credit

I wonder if someone could advise me.
My OH is getting a state pension and as I am unemployed at the moment we are also getting pension credit.
I have been offered some occasional part-time work - which hopefully might lead to something more permanent. I have written to the Pension people asking what I need to do with regards informing them of hours worked and amount earned.
I have not yet received a reply, and wonder if anyone could tell me if we would just lose the pension credit for the week that I was working/earning, or if it is based on the amount I earn, and that we would maybe lose the following weeks P.C. if the amount earned exceeds 1 weeks PC i.e if we were getting £50pw pension credit and I earned £100 for a weeks work, would we lose that weeks, plus the following weeks PC (even though I wouldn't be working the second week.

I'm sorry I can't answer all your questions but I believe that there is a £5 disregard per week on any earnings.0

£10 earnings disregard for a couple and up to £20 if either of you are claiming a disability benefit.
Do you know how often the work would be for, would it be seasonal or just the odd day here and there - would you be classed as self employed.
What the Pension Service would need to do is work out a pattern for your earnings, I know from a new claims point of view they would look at what's beneficial for the customer and spread the income over a period and not just the week you earned it.0 -

I don't think it will be set hours, just when needed - maybe 20-24 hours one week then maybe similar a couple of weeks later. Probably seasonal, so could be some hours later in the year but only a few here and there, although this could lead to more full time employment next year.
Just wondering as we do rely on the pension credit for bills etc and just worried that they might stop it while sorting out money earned and we wouldn't have enough coming in to cover things.0
