Hi, i signed up for save online 5 in March, but i have a prepayment meter for my Gas and i pay my Electric monthly via direct debit, will i still be benefiting?
Its just that i have just checked my e.on online account and it says i am on "e.on save online 5" for electric but my gas is showing as "e.on energyplan with prepayment" shouldnt both be showing as e.on save online 5 hence me signing up to it and am i still saving on it or shouldnt i be on it as i have a prepayment meter for gas?

Cheers for any advice

Kev

If you have prepay gas meter, only pricing options with eon for that are Eon energy plan with prepayment or Eon Age Uk Pre pay gas. Save Online 5 is correct for the credit meter, you wont get a dual fule discount as you have different types of meters for the fuels for your property. Yould be better off changing to Save Online 9 for the electric as as unaffected by the 13-9-11 eon price increase, whereas save online 5 is going up 13-9-11.

Def benefitting from saveonline 5 until 13-9-11 when prices go up, canx charge if leave eon and go to new supplier is £10 as only elec on saveonline 5. As a light user with eon probably find Save Online 9 best option now that eon have put their prices up.

    Hi Kev27,

Airmike23 has given you most the info already.

If you have a pre-payment meter you have to be billed on pre-payment prices.

Your electricity is already on the SaveOnline tariff.

If you wanted to change on to a SaveOnline tariff for the both the gas and electricity you would need to speak to our pre-payment to credit department.

We do charge to remove a pre-payment meter and this is just over £50, we may also do an external credit check and would request you to pay for future usage by Direct Debit.

If the pre-payment meter was installed to collect a debt, we will probably not remove this but each account is looked at individually.

    Helena :)

Hi Helena, many thanks for your input, i am not in any debt but i think i prefer a gas prepayment meter for gas as i only use it in the winter months as i only have a gas fire and everything else is Electric, Would you recommend that i switch from Saveonline5 to Saveonline9 for electric,Helena before 13th Septemeber as the saveonline9 prices are not going up just yet?
    Cheers for your input

    Hi Kev27,

That's fine, you can just keep the gas pre-payment meter if that's what you prefer.

You probably would be better changing to SaveOnline 9 as this won't be going up in September, but I can't say for sure as I don't have your details.

I would give E.ON a ring or email and ask them to do the comparison for you.

You can also pop your usage in to a comparison site and see how this look there.
