Hi can u help, my girlfriend banks with llyods and the other day a girl who lives on the same street as us has the same surname as my girlfriend, this other girl went into the bank and said she lost her bank card and wanted a new one, she had a driving licence as I.d the bank looked on the system and brought up my girlfriends account instead of the other girls (girl x) so the bank said to girl x , u live at number 20? She said no number 14, the changed it to 14 on the system, and then changed her first name aswell on the account, so the bank has now changed my girlfriends account into girl x name and address , girl x then withdrew £430 from the account, yesterday girl x knocked on our door with a new bank card saying this is your bank card its been deliverd to my address , so we rang the bank , they relised what's happened and they are changing the account back to my girlfriends name and address and refunding the money with £100 compensation, this is a major breech and mistake, is 100 compensation enough do you think??? Why didn't they see the d.o.b was different?

If you think making duplicate threads at different times, Thinking people will forget your wrong.
If you dont think £100 is enough by all means persue it further, But you will just lose more money in the end.0 -
They made a mistake. Put it right. Compensated with £100.
My own view is that £250 would be more appropriate, but there is no financial loss caused by this so obtaining more isn't likely.
Sue by all means. You might get £250 from a court, but they may forget to award costs in your favour if they consider the action unnecessary.
Given that the FOS has the power to make a ruling for free, why would you want to sue?0 -
Having ignored all the advice on your other post in another forum, why bother posting the same question?0
