Halifax not accepting Probate granted at High Court

Halifax, along with Bath Investment Building Society were great (in hindsight a bit lax with security and double checking) when Dad died 7 years ago, and released all funds before probate was granted, on sight of paperwork showing I was the executor, and proof of my ID.
It was a bit too easy in my opinion, but really helped me out as he had a buy now, pay later deal for a B&Q kitchen via GE Capital; GE Capital were great too, as although it went over the 0% repayment date, they froze interest until I had the funds.
Must say I found all the large "soul-less" companies really helpful.0 -
As long as one of the executors is happy to sign a declaration that they are happy for the other to go ahead alone it is fine.
Thanks Soolin, I was getting a bit worried there! Hope your problem is sorted soon.I want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this
