23rd - you know what they say "you can choose your friends but not your relatives". hope things settle shortly.

Shelly - love your list of kits. I especially like the 3 houses in a row.

I have loads of kits and patterns that I WILL stitch one day. Sold a lot of ones that I would never have done on ebay the other week and used the money to buy a sewing table. One day I will make a list of what I have - but I think it will scare me so maybe not just yet.

I am plodding on with the Tiger, can only do it when my son and Dad are not around, not sure who it is being given to yet. My Mum had started 2 of the same design, one for my Dad and one for my son. Think if I give it to my Dad it may upset him too much.

I'm also trying to finish this. Again my Mum had started it, completed the lady and the top part of the background (using full stitches, should have been half stitches). I'm half way up the background working from the bottom, but it's killing my eyes as it's on 18 count. Have an eye appointment Saturday as a result.

Not doing too much stitching as trying to get all the sewing completed for my son's bedroom.

Yes, my reaction was - 'Are you taking the pi55???!' And that's just half of the chart!

That was my problem with HEAD charts. I purchased Alice back in 2005 and the chart was so small I never attemted it. I had Al redo it so I now have it on her large charts so I will be doing that soon, although prob next year now :o

Awww 23rd, hugs from me aswell xx

PP - Youv'e no hope. tv is shocking! I'm watching cops thing on 3 - I like real life police things generally cause they very passive ie I dont actually need to pay attention, and it makes me realise there are so many idiots in the world that the ones I know really aint that bad lol!

Was it Flat Eric - I love the free design with WOXS but you have now made me think I'll look at the threads as it might get dismissed if it is that bad. However I have a Anchor colour chart thing so possibility that may give me a clue even if they dmc threads as hopefully the names similar?? Or that wishful thinking?

I've had a fairly good day at work but got back home to read an email from a company I'd complained to because their product I bought didn't work. I gave loads of detail and guess what the email back said? Basically thanks for your email, go to our website and click on shop. What? I want an answer, not to shop!!! I think they meant that they don't actually despatch the product so can't help but they manufacturer them so why not? AAArrrgggghhhhh. Anyway I've rung somewhere related to hopefully sort it out, but when I do get a refund they will be getting another email saying how rubbish I think they are!

Sorry about the unrelated moan but it's annoyed me :D Deep breaths......

Thanks everyone. It means so much to hear your support. I know family troubles are tricky as they often are hard to understand and are so emotional at their heart.

All I wanted to do this afternoon was watch bad tv and eat anything available. I should have been packing for my week away volunteering but I for once made myself remember what helps... So didn't mope. I cleaned the kitchen then did some stitching... Good to know my post-it note tattoo does work.
I've started a nice poppy design from my stash. Thanks to whoever suggested some wallowing in my kits/stash. It's for a pincushion scissor keeper, its a tapestry, which as far as I can tell means simply 1/2 cross stitches. Oh and it's printed... But has a chart for reassurance. So lots of new things in one. I think i'll take it away with me for quiet spells.

I can see why you are a little hesitant to start some charts, as then you loose the pleasure of an-ti-ci-pation (sorry, can never resist a Rocky Horror moment)

    But maybe the rain... ;)

    Hi Flat Eric,

Not sure if this is at all helpful but this is what I reckon:

(I'm not sure if you can see that pic?) EDIT: Ooh you can see the pic but the world was going dark as I took it sorry :o

The lightest is obviously Gold, the next lightest is light ginger and ginger is the slightly orangey one. The tan are dark tan are really similar - difficult to tell apart they look the same colour but you can tell in daylight! I used the cross stitch pic in the mag to help - lay the colour on the top it helps with some. Assuming I have them right :rotfl:

Ooohh twilight tomoz....I might have to watch that:T
