Hi looking for some advice please and what i need to do to get started
In my wisdom and after decluttering my house i decided to clear out alot of paper work so for things like credit cards/store cards i have just been keeping the last statement and shredding the rest.
I have looked at my latest statements and i am definately paying ppi on one of the credit cards which i assume i have been paying since i took out the credit card in 2007.
How do i go about reclaiming charges if i don't have the paperwork to know what i have spent and for how long, this may be the same for other credit cards and loans where i won't have written prove of what i hav paid.
Thanks oin advance for any help Jo

Hi,
First of all, have a read through the guide : http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance?utm_source=forum&utm_medium=clicks&utm_campaign=resourcebar
If you can explain to the lender why the PPI was missold, you don't need any paperwork to start the complaint process. Just sending them a letter with your reasons is enough, although you can also use the questionnaire (see the link above) as this may help.0 -
as drsqueeze says you only need your card number, or loan agreement number to start the reclaim, read through the guide and have your reasons for mis-sell, then fill in the FOS consumer questionnaire as in step 3, and send it recorded delivery to your card lender's main office. Some card operators like HBOS have a ppi claim line where it can all be started off over the phone. You should be able to get details if they have a claim line by checking out your lenders website. Thanks to all the competition posters.0
