Just curious, if I use the pay at the pump facility it:
a) Gives me a limit of £99 regardless or whether I have the available funds on either my credit or debit card, I have to say I have never tested this,
b) the transaction doesn't show for about 3 days not even as a difference between ballance and available ballance.
Why does 'Pay at the Pump' work differntly to paying at the kiosk, I don't have a problem like I said I'm just curious as to why they work in a different way.

I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

If I was that close to the wire I think I would err on the side of caution and just pay at the kiosk.
I don't know the answer though but would have thought it would affect your available balance.0 -
yeah it does work like that.. a couple of years ago i was struggling as pay day was a bit too far away. I stuck petrol in and paid at the pump and then went to the cash point to take my last tenner out, but the money for the petrol was still available so i took that out as well0

To be honest, I'm not interested in whether or not I can get away with it, my days of sailing close to the wind are long gone, I'm just curious as to why it doesn't go through as a normal card transaction.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0

I was billed this week for a pay at pump fuel purchase made in june when we were on holiday! Was not very happy with that but lucky that DH kept the receipt or it would have been phone calls to the bank and tesco. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'
