BMI Baby Cabin baggage restrictions:

Hi there,
I'm flying from East Midlands to Newquay on monday on a BMI baby flight. When I take my baggage on the plane is it simply that if it fits in the measuring cage it goes on? I have read they are quite eager to charge extra but couldn't find anything about taking a holdall which can be easily crushed into the required dimentions if not fully packed... Would this be ok or would I be better off trying to squeeze my stuff into a small backpack as I don't have time to go and buy another bag.
Cheers,
Sam

If you can get it into & out of the box then clearly it's the correct size even if you have to scrunch it up to do so.
