Hi peeps
SOme of you will know that I came very close to being scammed when selling my car a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to information received on this website, I narrowly averted being ripped off. I have agreed to sell the car through 'sellyourjamjar.com' http://www.sellyourjamjar.co.uk. Does anyone have any information about this company? They and the website seem bonefide. There is a 'verisign' and 'IMI' logo so everything seems top line. A pre-agreed price has been confirmed, and date for collection has been agreed. WHen they pitch up they check that the condition is a true depiction of that I gave when accepting their offer. They then arrange for electronic transfer which takes about 20 minutes and they do not take the car until the funds have cleared. It should not be confused with jamjar.com.
Thanks
Lenny

Never heard of them but immediately assumed that they were passing off as part of the RBS group and JamJar.Com but they do have:Copyright © 2000-2007, https://www.sellyourjamjar.co.uk. All rights reserved.
Sell your jamjar is not a part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group of companies
and is not associated in any way with jamjar.com
at the base which suggests they have been in trouble for others thinking this too.
The company behind it has been trading for 1 year which isnt very long in the motor market.
My only real concern is that you only get 3 days to decide on their offer which makes it feel as if there would be some high pressure tacticsAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Hi, Just thought i would post this detail about our very recentexperience of sellyourjamjar.co.uk. We too thought it a little too good to be true but they offered us more tyhan our local dealers so we went for it. They turned up when they said and put the money into our bank account. We spoke to the bank 10 minutes later and the money was in. I wouldn't have let them leave before i knew i had been paid. WE found the experience very very easy and must say we thought it was an excellent service and the staff were all friendly. My ugly mug is also on their testimonials page. Cheers Philip Hough.0

I wouldn't bother. Better to sell privately, you'll get more money.0
