Credit Card PPI Reclaim hastle

I have recentley sent away to all my old credit card companies requesting my account details and terms and conditions and they have all replied saying that as my accounts are now closed they cant trace any details for me, all I have to go off for info is one of my credit reports and this only lists the last 4 numbers of the account as I have no paperwork for any of them.

I have given the card companies the last 4 digits of the account numbers shown on the report and the address I was at at the time I opened the account, I also enclosed cheques for £1 with each request.

Do they need more info or are they just stalling??

Hi there

If the accounts are closed they are not obliged to keep or send copies unfortunately, another way would be to SAR, there is a template below, but these you enclose £10 cheque or postal order, they have 40 calendar days to comply, and they should send data going back at least the last 6 years, some will still hold data going back beyound that.

If the accounts are with the same business, then one SAR request with one payment is sufficient, they should therefore send all data in relation of all accounts taken out with them, give them as many details as possible in order to try tracking down your details.
