problem viewing youtube in full screen

For the last couple of months I have had an annoying problem when viewing youtube clips, I can watch any clips I want but whenever I try to expand the clip to full screen view all I get is a black screen although the audio is still working.
At first I thought it was something to do with my graphics card or computer setting but after doing some research I have found out its got something to do with adobe flash player, I have searched on the adobe site & help section and found out that the latest version is causing this conflict (I didn't understand much of what they were saying though) they said to try and disable your graphic accelerator which has seemed to work for me but it has made my computer display things a little slower, is there any other way of fixing this that would allow me to leave my accelerator on full, and are adobe trying to fix this or are they expecting everyone to use "work arounds"

mabe I should mention that I am using internet explorer 8, I think my graphics card is an onboard VIA/S3G Unichrome Pro IGP, which has the latestest driver that windows can find (I stumbled on device manager and the last driver update is 2005 with no later update available) and I am using a four year old windows XP computer0

I suppose it may be that your CPU/graphics card has insufficient grunt (a technical term!) to display full-screen, so doesn't bother. But Flash Player has a lot to answer for...0

Well I would agree that it’s not the best graphic card around but it could handle full screen until adobe upgraded their flash player a few months ago - and there is mention of this problem existing in their help section so it is a known problem.
I did try to upgrade the driver using device manager but it already had the latest driver available (a 2005 driver)
it does seem to be a problem with the latest version of adobe flash player rather than my card0 -
Here's the latest driver I can find: http://download.cnet.com/VIA-S3G-UniChrome-Pro-IGP/3000-2108_4-146347.html, version 6.14.10.342...

I tried the unichrome update you mentioned, I downloaded it to my desktop, unrared it and tried to use it as a replacement for my current driver (using device manager - driver update)but device manager refused to use it as an update saying that the currently installed driver was the best match for my computer, maybe I was doing something wrongHere's the latest driver I can find: http://download.cnet.com/VIA-S3G-UniChrome-Pro-IGP/3000-2108_4-146347.html, version 6.14.10.342...

how reliable is this DRIVEREASY you mention, it sounds like the very thing I need but I am always worried about spyware and viruses in unknown programs, I sure you wouldn't have mentioned it if it wasn't completly safe, its just I have never heard of it before0
