Stray kitten in Ealing, London

My Dad and fellow flat residents have taken pity on a kitten that had been dumped in a bin by their blocks. They are feeding it and giving it shelter but no-one is in a position to actually keep it.
The RSPCA and other places locally don't apparently want to help so they are a bit stuck what to do now.
Any ideas or even better anyone want a cute kitten?
I'm in Edinburgh - thank goodness for the internet, I've been giving Dad numbers to call but no luck yet.

here's a list - try cat & Kitten Rescue, or London Cat Rescue.

They haven't taken the kitten to a vet but Dad did go to the local vet and they said they couldn't help and gave him numbers to call - but none of these numbers have been able to help.
I'll suggest they take the kitten along too though you'd have thought the vet's would have suggested that...
Thanks Scaredy_cat I'll look through the list there.0 -
I still don't understand how people can just dump animals (and it's going to get worse if the rescues start saying they can't take them).
Try the Purrs website - there's a dedicated "rescue and rehoming section" (covers both people needing to find homes for animals and also those who are able to offer a home/looking for them) http://www.purrsinourhearts.co.uk/
You have to register to post but it should come through in a few hours. Good luck and please let us know if kitty has found a new home (fingers crossed).Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
