Natwest Advantage Private account?

Options
Just logged onto Natwest online banking and a banner has come up offering me an upgrade to the Advantage Private account with 50% off the monthly fees for 6 months.

Does anyone have this account or know if it is worth it?

It sounds similar to the Advantage Gold Account, perhaps its one in the same?

At the end of the day, I wouldn't sign up for anything unless your going to get your monies worth in relation to what 'features' you get with the account.
  • Hi, I have an Advantage Private Account, It Does Cost me £18.50 a month, however I take advantage of all the benefits and I have just worked out that im saving nearly £300 a year with it, also I get on with my relationship manager great and she would bend over backwards to help me and I think that is really important, I have got money invested in the bank and the financial planning manager i have met with has made my money work a lot harder than before, they really know what they are talking about. I have just looked up the criteria for the account and you have to earn over £75k or have £50k investments/liquid assets. Although the account costs me money to have, I wouldn't change it for the world. Look on their website to see what they offer, it doesn't suit everyone, im just glad it suits me!
  • I think you can have the Private bit for free. The extras come with the Advantage bit and the associates monthly cost. Try and be clear what it is you're after eg the personal service (free subject to meeting their criteria) or the extras.

After having been with NATWEST for nearly 35 years, and having a Private Banking account, I've told them to go stuff it where the sun don't shine. I think having an account you pay £240 a year, with benefits you can get cheaper elsewhere, just isn't worth it. To add to that, I've been badly let down by them several times this year. I've moved most of my Banking to Nationwide, who I find, provide a much better service.
