Hi this is my first try so please bear with me! I'm coming to the end of a 1year fix dual fuel deal with Ovo on Sept. 15th. When I asked for their percentage increases per KWH, gas was a whopping 70% and electric 7.02%! Today they've changed to 63% gas and 16% electricity. This would give me a 23.7% rise per year in cost. I've looked on all the comparison sites and find that they all give different views on where to go next for a fixed deal. Can anyone give any advice on this please? I went with Ovo on martins advice last year and have been pleased with their service although they say I'll have about £100 credit at the end suggesting my monthly direct debit is set too high.

i suggest you use comparison sites write down your current unit rates for ovo, then compare them against the cheapest on the comparison sites, theres talk of them lowering prices next year, so if they do lower, you wont reap the benifit as you will be locked in on a fixed deal, but it could go the other way, to be honest weve never gone for a fixed deal as they are generally higher than normal cheaper deals, i guess weve been lucky in the way when there are increases, they normally just when we finish our deal so we can just swap over to a cheap deal again
