Co-operative Society - possible windfall

I don't know what the odds are of the Co-op being taken over but as a member I would be entitled to a windfall. I applied to join and had to spend £25 in store before qualifying for membership. Not much to invest on the off chance?

Which Coop was it, there are quite a few.
Most only cost a quid to join, and there is no requirement to spend £25 in store 1st.0 -
I remember now I did pay a £1 to join (it was a few years ago) but I'm sure I had to spend £25 in store as well before I became a "fully paid up member"!0

Co-ops are merging all the time, There are about 150 atm United and midlands being the biggest 2, would think chances of a payout are slim to none as you just get paid your divi on your instore spending. mergers are happening to make positions stronger for those smaller soceitysThought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel....Then got hit by a train! :A
