Legal loophole - can I avoid my credit card debt?

in Credit cards
Had a call this afternoon. The guy on the phone said that if I was wearing red socks when I used my credit card then they could wipe off my debt.
I have a lot of debt, because I bought alot of stuff. So it would be really nice not to have to pay.
Why should the banks make so much profit out of me?
Is it true?
Is it legal?
He just wanted my credit card details so to do an ID check. It seems these guys are real pros.
Also, the guy explained that it will also wipe clean my credit rating and that the service won't cost anything cos I can put it on the card that will be wiped out.
Pretty clever, eh? Thought other MSEers would want to know about this one.

I am sorry - you have been entirely misled and this firm is out to scam you -
- you had to be wearing red underpants as well as red socks for the spending not to count.
Its the equivalent of crossing your fingers whilst you make the purchase.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Ahh! But lets not forget that if you were infact wearing a yellow shirt, and standing on your head whilst simoultaneously screaming the national anthem while you signed the agreement, that also nullifies the agreement.100% G33K:D:D:D:D

Were you wearing red socks?
If you were wearing blue socks but said you were wearing red socks, would that be classified as fraud?0 -
Why is everyone laughing?
I'm married to a single mother and am finding times tough. I thought this was meant to be a money saving forum!
Yes, the nice man told me they are registered with the Ministry of Justice which I found very reassuring.
I'm thinking of putting Marin in touch with these people so that other moneysavers can benefit.0 -

Surely if you're married, she's not a single mother0 -
I had a strange call to, they said that If I had been divorced they could refund me all wedding costs from the ex as not as described prior to getting married. they were regulated by mdonaldDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Brilliant!
Similar to an email I received, apparently if the sky was blue on the 30th February, I'm entitled to have all debts wiped out!0 -
This company phoned me. Asked if i had any debt, i said yes. They said give me your debit or credit card details and you can have some more!0
