Doggy pricing at Burger king

Options
Stopped at a burger king in the big W store at filton bristol this lunch time checked the price list and asked for a childs cheese burger meal priced at £2.29 I handed over the exact money to the operative whereupon I was told thats £2.79.
when I pointed out the price list he said that they had not had time to change it after a promotion, I said "i dont care about that the price list says £2.29 and that is all i will pay" with that he went and brought the manager who started waffeling on in an extremely hard to understand accent about additional things that have pushed up the price.
In the end I told him to forget it and left.
The youth that served me was then stuck with an epos terminal locked up with my order :D revenge is so sweet!

The point is if they make a habit of this most people pay with a note and would not even notice the extra charge until to late, I myself would not have realised it had I not paid with exact change. and can you imagine the pressure on a parent with young kids to stump up the extra!!

Beware of Burger King prices!

Cheers, M.

What are BK up to? £2.79 is far too much for a kids' meal in any case. I can remember (not very long ago at all) when a proper adult's meal was only £2.99 in McD's!

I too have noticed the difference in prices between various BK stores, especially road side ones, they are alway more expensive..compared to high street BK's - are they allowed to do this? It's stupid and they are obviously over-priced and give you heart disease at the same time!

This is because they are "franchised". Head Office cover themselves in their adverts by stating "at participating restaurants only".

    "Restaurants" - thats a laugh!

yep and guaranteed at the roadside and station ones, the staff get dogs abuse for not taking part in the promotions like 99p bacon double cheeses etc.
Although I think all stores should charge the same.

I wouldnt eat the garbage they serve up in there out of choice. If you are looking for a high street chain to get that sort of thing Subway are the best I have found since KFC stopped doing their rice bowls.

I prefer a kebab though personally
