No copy of agreement-what to do?

Hi,

Have just started to try and claim back ppi on my credit cards. I cancelled all this back in 2005 as they didnt pay out when i needed it so got income protection instead.

Have wrote to get copy of credit agreements from each company and barclays say they don't have a copy of my agreement with them.

Where do i go from here? Do i have any rights if have no agreement? They have just basically said that if i don't keep apying them they will win if goes to court-yet this isn't why i asked for the agreement.

Am stuck and would really welcome some advice.

Thank you in advance.

If you can remember how the Barclaycard was sold, and can explain why you believe it was missold, then you can make a complaint without any paperwork. I've had successful outcomes with other companies where I've had no documentation at all.

What rights are you referring to?
They have just basically said that if i don't keep apying them they will win if goes to court-yet this isn't why i asked for the agreement.

The courts have ruled that the lender only has to provide a reconstituted copy (i.e. one with your details on it but not the original or copy of original).

What do you need the agreement for?

You can still make a reclaim without the need of the agreement, if you know for sure you were sold ppi and mis sold, then continue to make a reclaim, good luck.;)

    Thanks guys.

Wanted the agreement to check if ppi was pre-ticked and my copy of the ppi agreement.

I can't remember actually being asked if i wanted the product. However i certainly wasn't told that i would be unable to claim for any illnesses whilst pregnant.
Which made my ppi useless as that was when i needed it although was proven that my illness was not caused by pregnancy and this is what consitutes my complaint.

Is this valid as a reason?

    Hi there

And yes I think you have good reason here, in this case it is/was worthless to you and a waste of your money, go for it, good luck.;)
