Florida Advice & Single Day Park Tickets

Hi everyone,
I know there is a wealth of info about this on the forums but I cant quite find the answer...
I have read the threads on buying park tickets before you go to save some good $$$$$$
Most of these seem to be aimed at the multi day/park passes. We are only going for 7 nights so a multi day pass isnt going to be much good to us.
Is it cheaper to buy single day passes on the door? Were planning on Magic Kingdom, Seaworld/Aquatica & universal.
Also what are the best sites for car hire?
