Advanced Passenger Information - US travel

Hello, myself and my partner are travelling from Heathrow to Las Vegas in September via British Airways. We have booked through Thomas Cook. ive found completely by accident on the BA website mention of something called Advance Passenger Information which it states we need to provide at least 72 hours before checkin. We have not been advised of anything about this by Thomas Cook so im not sure if its something extra we need to be doing. We have already done online ESTA forms which have been accepted.
I have emailed BA direclty & await a response but was just wondering if this is anything anyone has come across recently?
Many thanks

Yes it needs to be done. If you have your BA ref you can go to Manage My booking on https://www.ba.com and put it in yourself.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Thanks richardw, im a bit surprised that Thomas Cook havent mentioned anything about it to us as they seemed to know all about the visa requirements. Maybe they would have said something when we collect our tickets in a couple of weeks. So we can do it now using the booking reference from our paperwork I assume. Will try & do it sooner rather than later - we fly in a months time. Do you know if its necessary to print anything off as we only have a home printer suitable for printing photographs ?0

It's possible (though I wouldn't rely on it) that Thos Cook have collected enough information to do it for you.
You don't need to print anything off, though with BA you can check in 24 hours before travel and print your boarding passes.0
