  • The bond pays a rate of 3.55% gross per annum/AER, a monthly income option is also available paying 3.49% gross.
  • Minimum Investment £1000.
  • Interest is paid on maturity (30th September 2012), unless you have chosen to take monthly interest payments.
  • No additional investments or withdrawals are allowed during the fixed rate investment term.
Note - It is slightly longer than a 1 year bond as date of maturity is 30th September 2012.

According to this: West Bromwich Building Society isn't linked to any others, for savings safety purposes. This means the £85,000 per person protection isn't shared between any other banks.

Does anyone have a blank copy of the application from saved somewhere that they could send me/upload?

My dad tried to open one of these accounts the other day but wasn't able to print out the application form.

He emailed them to query this but by the time they replied it had gone from the website and now he's got an email from West Bromwich reminding him to send in his signed application form!

    Regards

Unfortunately the forms were presented as pdf files with the details as entered online.
I suppose your dad could try sending a cheque with a copy of the email to confirm he had applied. Does he have any other account (eg their regular saver) with West Bromwich? Is there any other form to download which would include their demutualisation waiver?

Added: Just read the email I received and see that the last day for getting funds to them is tomorrow, 30 August, so unless you contacted them on Saturday to get something emailed to you and can get to a branch to deliver it there doesn't seem much chance of getting this account.
