New 0% purchase credit cards

I have done a little stoozing a year or so ago and have just cancelled all my (now expired) 0% purchase cards with the plan to start again. I did ot have a barclay card so that is my 1st then I will go to Tesco M&S etc after 6 months.

Until earlier this week I had probably £50k of credit (all unused) that I have just cancelled. This will affect my Barclay card application. How long should I wait until this available credit comes off by credit record.

I thought 2 weeks before applying to Barclacard.

Cheers

It usually takes 4-6weeks for your credit file to be updated to reflect that you have closed accounts/reduced your credit limits etc. It can happen sooner depending on when in the monthly reporting cycle for each creditor you closed the account.
