Other half returned LoveFilm disc without an envelope - WHAT TO DO?

My other half seems to have had an attack of the ditz today and sent back a LoveFilm Blu-Ray disc just in its plastic wallet and NOT in an envelope addressed to LoveFilm returns.
Any suggestions how to sort this?
I guess there are three options.
1. Hope it turns up OK (as I think it says LoveFilm on the sleeve somewhere, although I have no idea how they would match it to my account)
2. Admit to LoveFilm exactly what has happened and possibly have to pay FULL PRICE for the disc if it doesnt turn up. (I guess anyone in the postal service could steal it though, or it could go into the Lost Property Hole, or it might even fall out of its LoveFilm plastic wallet)
3. Claim I've sent it back correctly after a few weeks and they they would put in a claim.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Has the post box been emptied since it was posted? You could wait for the post man to come empty it and explain the situation and retrieve the DVD.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34

Call your local delivery office. I once posted two letters with stamps but no addresses, again in an attack of the ditz. The lovely guys there sorted through the mail and pulled them out. I imagine they've kept the DVD to one side expecting some blonde to call up and claim it.
If that fails, I'd just be honest with LoveFilm - if it's your first time and you're regular users, they may well let you off. If not, at least you'll have a clear conscienceAnd if they do charge it may only be at their cost rate rather than retail price.

Hang him from the yardarm for this heinous crime.
Why on earth are you stressing about it?
There are no "late fees" and I bet they lose thousands every year through being lost in the post for one reason or another.

at least the Postman will get a free film to watch !0

leave it a few days and report it posted back (which it technically wa). They don't hit you if films are lost in the post. i've used them for a while and have had two or three that never made it back for whatever reason - they've never hassled me about that.
if you think about it, for them it's just the disc (not the actual value of the movie i.e. what we would pay). They'll get another dics FOC from the distributorAs is a tale, so is life: not how long it is, but how good it is, is what matters.0 -
Hi,
Please contact our customer service team regarding this issue...you won't be charged for this item.
The cost of a disc is the same for us as anyone else.

Er??? is this reply really from LoveFilm? If so I commend you!
Anyways, just had an automatic email through to say that my disc has been received back OK.
PHEW!!!!!!!!!
Thanks all, it was definitely worth a thread being opened for this.0 -
Glad it's back
The barcode on the CD would have identified it and linked it to your account0 -
Glad I've just seen this thread.
I sent two disks back to Lovefilm yesterday and have just noticed the envelope on my coffee table.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to do this.
Hopefully they'll get mine back safe too.
I've send them a mail explaining what happened to. I thought it best to be honest.0
