water marks on bathroom wall

hi, iv just repainted my bathroom walls using dulux matt emulsion paint and it is showing what looks like water tide marks and dark spots on paint. is this a fault of the walls or paint? i cant remember if the paint previously on walls was a specialist bathroom paint or just a normal emulsion. also the bathroom does get a lot of condensation and the walls tend to drip with moisture but nothing like it is showing at the moment. all advice greatly appreciated. thanks

matt paint is not for bathrooms, you need vinyl silk which is easily wiped and doesnt let the water in.
Get one of those sqeegy things and run it down your walls each time you bathe, open the windows also, it will dry in no time as the water (mostly is in the bath and not on the wallls)make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
