After someone mentioned the 20% off Refurbished laptops on Dixons I was looking at their refurbished desktop PC's.
Despite being very tempted........I have talked myself out of it as since I upgrade my AMD Sempron Xp PC to 1.5GB it does fine! so I don't NEED one!
This is the one I was most interested in. Seems like a great bargain to me so thought I would post it in case it's any good to someone else?

I am still soooo tempted I do like a bargain.......but I will have to just hope that my PC lives for a lot longer and that there will be good deals to be had then!

I love the weasel advertising words: potent, sizeable, reassuring, 'fantastic saving'!
Anyone remember the Amstrad PCW9512, described as having a massive RAM of 512KB?!
I also like the idea of a "Dual Core Operating System" (huh?!)
The screen resolution 1600x900 is not too close to 'real' HD, 1920x1080.
The general specification appears to date from one-to-three years ago.
My opinion is that it offers middling value - you could certainly get better cheaper, though...0 -

Oh well!

I thought it seemed pretty powerful
for an average user like me no gaming etc!
Someone must have bought them as they are not on the Dixons site anymore?!"Things can only get better.................c/o D:Ream #The 90's
