I am in Dudley one day on a course and then near Edgbaston the next day so it makes sense to stay over.
I need a Travelodge that is not a million miles from Dudley and Edgbaston, has free parking and bus routes into Birmingham city centre so I can kill free time there....
PLUS it needs to be quiet. I hate not getting a good night's sleep cos of noise. Any ideas / recommendations ? I read somewhere on this forum that the ones in the city centre are noisy.
I usually go for a newer Travelodge, especially the ones that are so new they don't have a picture yet, as that means they are nicer! Cleaner....
Thanks!

I've used this one, was pretty good. Rooms are very "minimalistic" !!

Looks nice but the parking is expensive and I was worried about city centre noise. Is it noisy? My car will be there for over 24 hours probably so cheaper ((free?) parking would be great!0

try checking tripadvisor for reviews on travelodges in the area.0

I used the one at Oldbury recently, good access to both Dudley and Edgbaston, free parking, relatively quiet as it's set back from the road, rooms are not bad (by Travelodge standards
). I don't know about buses but given that it's on the main route between Wolverhampton and Birmingham i would expect them to be very frequent.

I went by train
It is quiet, on a side street and the canal at the rear. It isn't actually IN the city centre - just a short walk. 0
