October Sun ideas please :)

Hi

I usually take my daughters away during the summer holidays but my eldest has a new job and can't take any time off so I've booked a week off in October instead.

I know the Canaries are nice at this time but don't know much about them.

I am limited with dates as I need to go during my other daughters half term so need to go between late (after school) 21/10/11 and 30/10/11. Looking through some holidays it rules out flights to some islands as they only go one or two days a week.

We'd prefer a hotel to a villa, any board basis but it must be close to a nice sandy beach (not dark like some Tenerife beaches are)

Budget wise, this depends on the board but nothing over £1600 really.

Two adults, one child aged 12.

Flying from Manchester/Liverpool.

Can anyone advise on holidays or what resorts might be suitable?

Thank you

Sarah Xx

    Lanzarote?

We always go every year in October (since 2007), haven't had bad weather yet!

You can choose from Puerto Del Carmen, Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise etc...

Have a read up about the different resorts :)

My mum and dad often g to lanzarote Playa Blanca and they love it. They also like Fuerteventura said it has lovely beaches.
  • Thanks....I'm looking at both islands now...Fuerteventura looks nice but they only seem to fly out on Wednesdays but Lanzarote have flights on Mondays while might be an option with a day off school.

You could go to Puerto Del Carmen, S/C, for under a grand easy, maybe even £800. (have a look on alpharooms or travel republic if interested)

Lovely big beach, as lively as you want, or as peaceful as you want it.

It's not everyones cup of tea, but we love it there :)

My girlfriend and I booked up for Lanzarote (Puerto Del Carmen) last week.

We booked the flights and accomodation sperately which saved a fair bit. The flights were a little more expensive given it is half term but the accommodation (Plaza Azul) was only £170 for the week for a one bedroom apartment.
