looking for a laptop for my sis-in-law.
she's a uni student and has a budget of £500. laptop will be used for her studies so will require a decent screen, o/s and office apps.
anyone know of any decent laptops that i can recommend to her?

Someone was speculating that when Vista becomes available, there will be a lot of people offloading their old laptops that cant run it. Im not sure if it will prove to be true, but Im waiting as I think that theres a good chance. If she can wait a few weeks, it might be worth holding off."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0

tescos yesterday had a 17" widescreen acer with 512mb ram, 120gb hdd, dvd burner. Had windows mce installed and (i think i read somewhere) a voucher for vista. Was 499 and seemed cheap (considering tesco points!) but I think you can get deals similar online.
I bought a similar 14.1 inch acer with 512/60gb yesterday for just short of 400 from ebuyer yesterday.0
