Is it just me or are these really flimsy?
Had my Advance CGC for Six Months now; and it's all cracked across the middle.
Always been kept in wallet, in front pocket. Used 2-3 times a day. Pretty average really. Six monts? For it to disintegrate?
I notice that my Credit Cards are thicker, so more robust.
Ho hum, guess I'll just order another one...

Ahh, OK. Yes, it is thinner than my other cards.
Might ask for a standard Silver card then. Thanks for the heads up

The silver card looks much nicer than the horrible red/orange Advance card anyway

Well worth the £12.95 a month HSBC charges for Advance, then

Well I got the replacement card - they refused to send out a silver one despite it being an option on the screen in branch - and although it's no longer damaged it's so thin that it sometimes slips out of Chip and Pin readers.
I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this - unless I'm one of a very few people stupid enough to be paying for the Advance account. But the breakdown cover is good value at £6 / PCM for the first nine months.
*Hrumph* good job I keep a credit card with me. At least that's thick enough to not fall back out of a bloomin' Chip & Pin machine!Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
