Hi. Just wondering if anyone can help me please. I'm trying to connect to the Internet on my net book. Both using my wireless talk talk broadband and my t-mobile dongle it's coming up with 'windows cannot automatically detect this network's proxy settings. I've tried restoring from backup and also tried turning the adaptor thingie on and off and it's not working - I also tried a command prompt thing I found on the Internet - a netshe reset thing but thats not worked either. I'm not very technology minded but I really need my Internet. Thanks in advance!!

has it ever been working on your netbook? try following:
a. Go to Start and type internet options.
b. Click on Internet Options.
c. Click on “Connections” tab.
d. Click on LAN settings.
e. Uncheck “Use a proxy server for your LAN”.

Hi. Both the wireless and the dongle usually work with the netbook. I've just done what you suggested and the box is already unchecked.
