Change to NPower?
Hi All,
We are with Scottish Power but looking to save a little money and the wife looked up energyhelpine.com and found we could save upto £128 a year. I wondered whether we should do it or not, anyone had any experience of changing to them at all? We've been with Scottish for 7 years now, and not really considered changing....due to lethargy....

I wouldn't yet, they have not announced an increase, whereas Scottish Power, SSE, Eon and BG have all announced the increase and rates for their tariffs on teh comparison sites are what they will be from that companies increase date. Npower and EDF have yet to announce increases, but will do so in next few weeks, so eg if go on Sign Online 23, Go Save, Football 45, or Bill Saver, as Npower announce an increase, these will all become much more expensive tariffs, as they are variable unit rates deals, so will be unprotected against the npower increase.0

Have you considered a "fixed price" tariff? Currently there are a few fixed price tariffs available based on "pre-increase" pricing. If you decide one or other is for you don't delay as they won't be around for long.0 -
I switched to npower from s power earlier in the year. I've ended up with 2 separate accounts (hope they do link them together for dual fuel discount) but that was to do with delay by s power in producing a final gas bill. It took slightly longer than I expected but otherwise went well. But as others say, either look at their fixed prices or wait to compare.0
