Cineworld Unlimited - Credit Check?

Hi there,

due to low income I can no longer afford my Cineworld Unlimited card.

As i am still within my 12 month limited contract, if I cancel the direct debit will it go against my credit rating?

I'm not too sure if Cineworld goes against credit scores?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Should you not inform cineworld your cancelling then cancel the DD, in the wrong section anyway

There is a very good chance it will, yes. If you have a contract and you break it then they may also get the debt collectors involved. It will still be classed as a default for credit purposes.

I dont thin kthe Cineworld card is a form of credit

But they might well send in a debt colelction company to chase the money you owe for the remaining months

Ask them if you can cancel due to hardship or put the card on hold?

No it wont effect your credit rating.

If you can afford to pay something they cant physically force you. All they will do is send it to debt collectors, And it will be passed around like 10 different collection agencies who send threatening letters.

Did you sign a credit agreement regulated under the Consumer Credit Act of 1974?
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

If you contact them, then they may offer something like a hefty get out of contract fee as gesture of good will or some other alternative.
