family matters

Hi can some one advise me ......
My uncle bought my grans house some yrs ago and now he can not pay the morgage (due to his gambaling addiction)but my gran has dementia now , can we buy him out so our gran can go into shelter housing or can we force him to sell it so she can live there without the bank calling all the time as this is really upsetting her ;(

    The house belongs to your uncle.
    1) he can sell it to you if he chooses (assuming the price you pay him will be enough to pay off the mortgage)
    2) the bank might repossess the house if the mortgage continues to be unpaid.
    But you cannot force him to sell.

    Why on earth did your gran sell it to him, and what did she do with the money?
