White goods for a kitchen?

So I've moved into an unfurnished flat and as such I need to furnish my kitchen with white goods.

I have about 750 pounds saved and need to buy a fridge/freezer (I want a big one as I will save a fortune being able to make up meals and freezing them etc) A gas hob and oven (again I want this big enough to cook a roast dinner or a meal when I have friends over) and a washing machine!

I live alone and looking through reviews and so on I have come across:-

This Beko Fridge Freezer - Beko CDA563F Free Standing Fridge Freezers Frost Free in Silver

Now the reviews look alright apart from the door not taking huge pints of milk which as i live alone won't bother me. However, there is alot of information about Beko fridges causing fires - is this an ongoing issue?

Oven wise I've had a look an[/URL]d don't really know where to start but I do want a gas hob I just cant get to grips with electric ones and burn everything!!!

Beko DVG592SP Gas Cooker with Double Oven is the one I've seen. I can't have a built in oven and am open to suggestions as I don't know where to start and have approx 250 pounds.

I don't know where to start with washing machines so my max budget here would again be 250 pounds. I have been using laundrettes for years so any suggestions for good brands, brands to avoid anything?Bearing in mind I am a single female.

Lastly I need it delivered I live on the first floor of a building and would need it to be taken into my kitchen and set up if needed so who do I order from and are there any mse things I can do to save money!

  • Thank you!

I will take a look at your suggestions and whilst I think I'll get someone to fit the oven I shall definately ask for help on the washing machine!
  • you have to pay for installation of any cooker. the law now says that all gas and electric cookers have to be installed by a competent person. in my previous job i dealt with a customer who followed the advice of oh its only a simple fitting. i stood in front of him as he recalled seeing his 2 kids die from their injuries. still not worth paying?
