Could be wrong but sure I seen the ds lite console in Game today for £79.99...
That was probably just the original version

  • Try https://www.virginmegastore.com, use QUIDCo and if you have a virgin credit card remember to go to the members store to get the 10% discount code, I bought my lad one this week (3 days delivery) for £85 delivered (black)

79.99 is most likely to be a pre-owned model.

You probably won't be able to buy a [new] DS non-lite though anymore, as stores tend not to stock them.

DS Lites? The cheapest I know of is, if you know someone who's a student, to buy one from Virgin using their student card and getting a Virgin student card, which comes in at £80, i believe.

There are packages in which you buy the DS and a game, but beware. Frequently the games that come with the package are awful, and are only really sold via these packages.

ohh dear. I have a student card.
Thank you for the tip off. You're EVIL and I'm going to have to get one now

Hi, big thanks to everyone who replied on this. As everyone online seems to be out of stock I decided to just get one from HMV in town today, the bundle which included the console and 1 game for £109.99, which seemed a decent offer. Anyway I got the last black one in the shop (and city I think!) along with FIFA, and when I got home I realised that they SA had forgotten to charge me for the game and taken £10 off the bundle package (I had returns as well so didn't notice when the wrong amount came up).
So Mr S should be happy come his birthday, but now to get a few extra games and the web browser. Anyone know where is best/cheapest for these, choicesuk.com?
    Thanks to all again,
    Mrs S
  • Just bought a black one for my husband today as well. No black ones to be had in our town at all. Woolworths had a good offer of a game & a console for £105. Unfortunately they didn't have any of the games in stock and no consoles either. The cheapest games site seems to depend on what game(s) you after so it's certainly worth browsing around. Cd-wow & movietyme are worth a look especially as the DS isn't region locked.

Can you use normal ds games with this one (not just american versions) if you need an adaptor for it?

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to these new gaming consoles. So any help would be appericated.

    Thank you
