Works really well though, I had enough of having red hair (had it for about 3 years but got rid when cheryl cole and half the nation dyed theirs!) and used colour b4 and it came out a treat and now I'm back to my natual brown Just have to keep topping it up as the red does creep back through.

I also used the xxl red colour on my hair and then decided to go blond. it took a few goes and a few weeks but eventually the red came out completely by using a pre lightener before the blonde shade. try using a stripper or pre lightner to get rid of the red before adding the blue. try it on a cutting before you do it though.
If you still have some of the red in your hair you may well end up with purple which might look nice...
