How far back can i claim

Hi,

Sorry if this is a repetitive question, but i am new to this forum.

I have numerous loans dating back to 1990 with the same bank but no paperwork. All of them was to review my bank account and they suggested i take out the loans to have one bill, each time insisting i needed the PPI. Is there any way of requesting all the paperwork required to make a start on a multiple claim?

Thanks
Jonny

    Hi Jonny

If these loans were taken out with the bank then I would call into the bank and ask for all details of all loans. Hopefully by just giving them the bank account number they will try tracking down all loans etc you have taken out with them.

I would not worry about the 6 year time barring, for example, if you've only just became aware of the mis selling of PPI, then make that clear to them as well.

Going back to you not having any paperwork, that does not matter as such, but if you know for definate you were sold and mis sold ppi, then you can still make a reclaim, and you can try tracking down the loan account numbers by either checking statements, or if you bank online, this may allow you to go back to 2002, and the loan account numbers are generally shown next to the loan monthly repayment.

To make a reclaim, just simply complete the reclaim questionnaire on step 3 below, if all with the same bank with all the same mis selling reasons, you can just complete one questionnaire, but you have to make it clear on what loans etc, so if you can manage to get hold of the account numbers then all the better.

Keep copies as well, and send to their main head office or complaints dept, hope this info helps, good luck.
