Well done Louise! That was a good find online. Still showing full price to me when I log on to Tesco Direct.

Ahhhhh They are showing up as £115 on Tesco Entertainment site. Happy hunting everyone.

For my 2 penneth, the 3DS is still too gimmicky to invest. Many of the games you need to be stood at exactly the right distance and angle, any movement and double vision appears.

Having said that Mario Karts could be a gamechanger, as it is brilliant and doesn't seem to have these problems, certainly not as noticable anyway. I know it isn't out yet, but I was fortunate to get quite a lot of plays of it over a weekend 4 weeks ago.

I share your experience of 3DS Games and new 3DS Games are costing £39.99 (ish). If the new games are better that would be great for all console owners.

I do think though at £115 it makes a reasonable present and if you are likely to get one in the future, price is likely to go back up then down.

Alternatively you could stow it away and see how much it might be worht in years to come? I've got a couple of brand new Nintendo Gamecubes at home that have never come out of the box. Got them dirt cheap. Hopefully some collector will want those in years to come. Well I can hope.;)

Great Grabbit thanks but sadly the wrong way for me! I'm looking out for a DS Lite or DSi for my 5yr old for Xmas - I really don't want the 3D one! Maybe when the 3D goes back up I'll have a better chance for a bargain....:D Plenty of time til Xmas anyway I guess.
  • I've just picked up 2 from tesco to put away for xmas, price is £115 confirmed. Glad i insisted on a bike for my sons birthday a couple of weeks ago, would've been gutted. Zavvi outlet on ebay has some games on for £15. :)

Hope no one pays that much for a game these days!

I don't have a 3DS yet but I did test it in GAME and Pilot wings seemed fine but I think it's one of those things where different people have different experiences. It's important people make their own judgements rather than going by the good or bad experiences of other users. If you've had problems with 3DTV/cinema you're more likely to have a problem with other 3D technology like the 3DS. GAME have a demo stand so you can just walk in and try.

thanks got one this morning, must say my tesco has been a bit shifty, there was no stock out today, but was 2 days ago when i was loooking at prices on the 3ds and dsi xl, the lady had to go upstairs to check for stock. this was tesco failsworth
  • This does seem to be very hit and miss on if you can get this in store or not. I went to our local 24hr Tesco Extra store and they were all £195 still - I even checked with customer services there and they said they were not participating in the promotion! I then checked online and none available so I then rang up customer services. The lady on the phone then checked stock in all my local stores in the West Midlands and none of them were at the reduced price.. all at £195! She suggested I buy online and then she checked the price for me and again... £195! I said is this really a promotion that is available and she said that it seemed strange that nowhere was selling it!

I'd be interested to see if many people have actually been able to pick one up in store? or whether this is a big marketing con:mad:

Did they check the price on the system? This is a nationwide offer but they may not have put the new tickets out. Either way you should be buying at PC world or Currys and get it for £2.40 less

As previosuly stated and on another thread I've spotted Amazon are still doing these at £115 - order now if you want one. Don't waste time looking for codes. If the product is right price for you then buy.
