A lot of the new games which will be coming out will only be playable on the 3DS though - the new marioland and Mariokart for example.0

For people saying "I have no interest in 3D games" : You realise the 3D is optional (you can switch it off), and that the 3DS also plays DS games?
Agree but if not going to use the 3d feature then you are left with an inferior machine than the dsi and the dsi XL as the 3d machine doesn't have a number of features of these.
This was particularly disappointing to my daughter after deciding to continue saving beyond the dsi price which her sister had, and pay £200 for the 3ds. 3d gives her headaches and she can't do half the stuff her sister does on her dsi.Something we didn't expect from a newer machine.
So, make sure you are happy with exactly what the 3d machine has before purchase. If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -
ive had a 3ds since launch (big geek) and its worth £175 (what i paid), definately a bargain at sub £150. note: the software that comes with it is much more fun that the actual launch games. and 3d video streaming is now on it too.
anyone seen oscars oasis? quite good...Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,0000 -
i was upset that i got my other half a DSI XL three weeks before the 3ds came out but im really glad i did. i had a go with the 3ds and it gave me headaches and made me feel sick. i think we'll both stick to the old school 2d version. try the 3d one if you can just to make sure you like it
if you have an old DS to get rid of try CEX they gave me £50 exchange (could have had £35 cash but they had games i wanted) for an old DS lite that was about 3 years old and a bit battered
give them a try game often do extra cash when cashing in on an old games console as a managers special i got £23 for mario brothers DS once... i only paid £19 for it in the first place
nice little profit for a compleeted game xx 0 -
Great to read people's opinions on the 3DS offer.

I just ordered the blue one online (free delivery) glad I didn't pay the £200 they were when I was first looking!!
He was swithering between a 3DS and a DS XL, but I think he will be pleased with the 3D one, not many of his friends have it. Old DSi will get passed down to his brother now, he has been desperate to get his little mitts on it :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Hi there
Yes ask any teenager and they will tell you best high street trade in for cash is CEX stores. They also have a we buy page and you can calculate how much you might get.
Trade in values vary but most high street stores might honour a trade in value given at another store, e.g. Gamestation, GAME or CEX.
Online trade ins look like good value but not all offer postage. Amazon offer a pre-paid label which helps and have good trade in value for popular games. It is games only I'm afraid with Amazon.Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!0 -
