AAARRRGGGHHH Travel Agents

We have been looking to book a 2 week AI holiday for us and our children for next July. My husband went into a Travel Agents after work today and came home with some paper work and written down prices. He was advised that if he wished to book at the price then he would need to ring her before the office closed tonight. We rang not long after he got home to book, debit card at the ready. The Travel Agent went through the details again then hit with the bombshell that she had quoted us for self catering and not AI  arggghhhh back to the drawing board for us.

Or maybe that person had been hard at it all day and was knackered and just forgot to select the correct board basis as some hotels do sc, hb, fb, and ai, it is an extremely busy time of year, luckily it was only a quote and not a confirmed booking.

yes definately malkie i second that

Times we have been misquoted then when you try to book the price is wrong for one reason or another.

Also if they can not find you a deal they say they will look for you and ring you back, this is just an excuse to get rid of you, still waiting for thomson at loughborough and the coop at loughborough to ring from 3 years ago!!

at the end of the day, there is an 'all inclusive' holiday, and a holiday that is 'all inclusive'.

you can still get a self catering holiday thet is all inclusive, i.e it includes flights, baggage, in flight meals, transfers & accommodation. - effectively a holiday that includes everything you need.

I agree, you could have had a travel agent that thought they were quoting an AI, when they were in effect quoting a SC, however things happen, and as mentioned above, you were only 'QUOTED', you had not confirmed, and paid for!.

May we ask who quoted you?

Dave I love your comments lol

    I agree on every account

I would explain every detail to the customer about the holiday and sometimes if the customer asks I say its fully inclusive of transfers, inflight meals, etc etc

its not as bad now like as I work for someone else who include everthing in the cost although I cant mention any names I love them lol
