Hi,

Wonder if anyone has any feedback on the above dealer?

My daughter is considering buying a car from them (going to see it tomorrow) The car is advertised on Autotrader as being sold by Allerton Motors. When I googled Allerton motors it came up with a location and phone number, but the phone number was different to the one on the advert.

I rang the number on the advert and spoke to the owner of Allerton Motors, he said that he no longer had the garage premises but worked from his home address. Does this all sound a bit dodgy? Is it possible to search on line for any reported problems with Allerton Motors (trading standards etc)? Rang the number for Allerton Motors that appeared on Google just to check and it is a private number ( I got the impression it was not the first time they have received calls meant for them)

Never had any dealings with them, but I live just up the road from the site, it is a while since they closed. The site is now a Budget exhaust centre.
Their stock was mostly low end stuff, I think they fed off a very good high end dealer who was opposite them.

At least the dealer is not trying to pretend he's a private seller.
