Barclays - utter nightmare!!

So I complained like stink to Barclays for over £2K worth of bank charges..

sent letter after letter after letter.. by my surprise they sent a gesture of goodwill of £783.50 to an incorrect address in 2008!

I was still writing letters until someone said on the phone oh there was a small refund to you .. let me take a look!

Now that money has been sat in a 'non interest' account for 3 years apparantly, they wont give me the interest since refunding that amount nor increase the amount (verbal) to what the bank charges are as they say its a gesture of goodwill and it has nothing to do with bank charges refund?!!!!

So I asked you just gave me nearly £800 for no reason at all - yes she said?!!! hahaha

What can I do? they are sending me the cheque this week .. I want the whole amount of bank charges back plus the interest as they sent the cheque to the wrong flipping address..

advice please!!!

back in 2008 they were refunding as goodwill. since the supreme court ruling Banks are under no obligation to do so.

Best take the money and use it wisely, you'll be wasting your time trying to get anything more out of them

Be thankful with what you've got, if it was such desperation why wait 3 years...enjoy and remember any future charges you ain't getting back
