Holt Road Dodgy Car Sales

DANGER * DANGER * DANGER Jaguar X-Type AU06 NCV

This company is selling an X-Type Jaguar listed at ?7995 on their website and eBay as an immaculate car.

When you call you will be told that it is the owner's wife's car and you will probably talk to them directly. They will repeat that it is immaculate has never been damaged or in an accident.

Foolishly I booked my train ticket to go and collect the car before doing an HPI check. When I did the check it showed the car has been written off and also that there is outstanding finance on a previously applied registration number (which may or may not be something to do with this car, but it is against a Jaguar X-type)

I called the owner and at first spoke to his wife who sounded very surprised to hear this. She then passed me on to the dealership owner and I confronted him with these details and he will tell you that it was not written off, but the previous owner was given a new car by Jaguar because he had got stuck in a ford and they couldn't be sure that there wouldn't be long term water damage to the electrics!!!!!

Its really about time that these crooks were put out of business. If DC wants to fix "broken Britain" he should toughen up the rules on rogue traders instead of encourage a society where people think they can make £1000's by scamming innocent buyers.

Well done for the doing a HPI Check - It is unfortunate that crooks like this exist - I only pity the next customer who is not as car wise as yourself

Thanks, as this post comes up no. 4 on google when you search for Holt Road Car Sales, I hope the next buyer would at least look for that!

Have also left a review on norwichonline.co.uk and reported the incident to Norfolk County Council.

The worst part is that I should have collected the car today but my better half (who is 8 months pregnant) had to go to hospital yesterday urgently because of thalassemia. The wife of the owner called me yesterday evening to check that everything was okay. All along they pretended to be very caring and concerned.

Quite frankly I haven't got words for this scum who would sell a potentially dangerous car to a couple expecting a newborn in a few weeks.

It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

So they are dodgy enough to search the internet looking for their company name and spam a forum with a fake good review.

Have you really just bought the car 16 months after the original poster HPI'd it?

Were you oops i mean they still trying to dry it out and free off the rusted calipers?
