What was this months bill? Are you showing in credit on your account? I know its a pain because it has been a month without this money but it might be less hassle to leave it on the account and to use it that way.

Was it taken by Direct Debit, would it not be covered under the Direct Debit guarantee?
    Is a Bipolar bear :p
  • as dane-katie is getting to, you can get a complete refund if the amount taken was incorrect.

if it was by DD then they have to refund any money taken in error

The direct debit guarantee applies to all banks and building societies taking part in the direct debit scheme. It says that:
    • if there is a change in the amount to be paid or the payment date, the person receiving the payment (the originator) must notify the customer in advance.
    • if the originator or the bank/building society makes an error, the customer is guaranteed a full and immediate refund of the amount paid.
    • customers can cancel a direct debit at any time by writing to their bank or building society.

Just to clarify those Direct Debit guarantee posts...

If a mistake has been made, it is your bank that must refund the money to you on request. Your bank then may (or may not, who cares) get the money back from the phone company.
