More information would be needed to advise, have you checked the court papers are legit?
Post up here http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=60 you will receive plenty of advice on which way to defend this claim.
Don't post up anything to identify yourself or admit to anything on any forum and do not enter into an PM contact unless the person has 100s of posts.
Don't worry if this is a legit case you will be offered help!0 -

Yep use pepipoo....which company is it??? Let me guess. Opc?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

You haven't said who the issuer was. We only advise that people ignore private tickets. This permit you needed - we don't know whether that was for public or private land as either may apply. If this is for private property and issued by a private company, you urgently need to know how to defend your case in court. You'll have to pay one way - either for the permit itself or the same money for losses to the landowner. What you must try to avoid is paying excessive currency to the PPC. Please tell the forum whether this was council.0

Except, of course, no council-issued PCN would end up at court (although a police one could). An Excess Charge Notice, if ignored, would also end up in a summons but until we hear back from the OP we'll be none the wiserMy very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

I think the next post may be "I Lost" and owe the PPC hundreds.:p
Anyone else notice that when we do get claimed won cases by PPC's its normally ladies?
Plus when the "lost case" is over the poster disappears? Yet if its a win the poster lets us know?
Or is it me just me being cynical???:p0
