I like some salsa under my cheese when I am making cheese on toast, and using it as a pizza topping. I think these ideas have been mentioned but just wanted to recommend them too!

I love the action of dipping, but won't use dips unless in my own house, or in some of my friends' who are well aware of me being a veggie.

Never if there are meat or fish things for dipping, as I couldn't use the same dip. Also sickens me when someone re-dips same piece of food after having a mouthful........I don't want to share their saliva thank you! Really makes me:mad: ! Is it just me being too picky, as other folk seem to think that this is fine to do?

No, its not just you Ann_Marie - I feel the same way...

Mr P and I share dips, and will do so with both sets of our parents, but we know that all 6 of us feel the same way about double dipping, i.e. we don't! :p

When we serve dips at a party where we have other people, we always put out the dips in bowls with teaspoons in them (and plenty of spare spoons on the table, too, in case one goes "walkies"), so people are encouraged to put some of whichever dip they fancy onto their own plate - once its there, they can do whatever they want to with it!! ;) :rotfl:

Thanks to everyone's suggestions, we have nearly eaten the dips. DH gently heated the tomato one last night and we had it over pasta. The Garlic and Herb one was devoured eagerly on her baked potato by my dd (aged 6) who normally hates anything with garlic and any kind of green bits!
