Is anyone else buying next years xmas bits in the sales?

    hiya ive got all me cards wrapping paper and luxury crackers all for a pound at asdas
    ive got 3 prezzies for DD1 1 for DS bday prezzies for DD2 (jan 10 = 2years) for MIL and 7 others can be used for various bdays or xmas
    all for under £50 way to go me and ive just put £150 left over from xmas (money given as a prezz and leftover saving that id built up over the year) which ive just put into my isa
    had so much left over as i get morrisons and asda saving stamps already £10 on asda for this year that i use for prezzies
    come nov everything has been bought just in time for the shops to put up their prices for xmas which i can put up my feet and watch everyone else rush around like mad

    espesh DH why is it he only needs to buy for me and come xmas eve hes panick buying this year i got casserole dishes aaaarrrrgggghhhhh

    anyone else get cr*p prezzies from their OH?
    If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

    Have considered it but not had much chance to look round the shops with the boys being off school and we just have no storage space to keep things. I did overbuy on the wrapping paper & cards this year when it was being sold just before Xmas which I will put under DS2s bed with the decs.
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:

  • This is a first for me. I bought all cards for next christmas and 2 presents boots and sainsburys sales. DD still wants a nintendo DS so I know how much I need to save and hopfully it will be cheaper this year.

    i have bought cards paper and tags, a few toiletries reduced in boots and today i got a 6 foot tree reduced in tesco from £49.99 to £2.75 coz it was the one on display in the store. mind you it doesn't go back in the box but i don't care for that price!!

    I bought more xmas reduced bits and pieces yesterday afternoon at Tesco. Deco;s for the tree down to 0.49p, christmas crackers, 0.82p, all the paper was 16p, tesco value paper was only 0.03p. the isle was packed with people picking up loads.
